Score 95-97/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Aug 2024

The bottled 2023 Pinot Noir Cuvée Julien is more sensual than the Pinot from En Billat. It has 13% alcohol and is rounder and a little riper, which will please the Burgundian crowd. It has finesse, freshness and balance. This is a very regular wine, produced with grapes from an old massal selection planted on clay and limestone soils that are worked organically and with plant infusions. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered in August 2024.

The 2023 Côtes du Jura Pinot Noir Julien unwinds with fragrant rosewater, red cherry and spicy subtleties. Shy earthy elements add more nuance. Built around ultra-smooth tannins and framing vibrant acidity, the medium-bodied 2023 is an enticing Jura Pinot Noir with remarkable freshness and intensity. It checks out with impressive length on the juicy finish.
