Good full, deep red. Alluring scents of redcurrant, minerals, smoke, tobacco and menthol complemented by complex earth tones. Deep, broad, sappy and quite dry if closed in the early going. Rich, savory, sophisticated wine with lovely balance and finesse. Finishes with serious but fine-grained tannins. This brooding, soil-driven wine is not at all hard or austere but it's not particularly sweet or easy either. It should age very well.

Bright red-ruby. Slightly reduced but complex nose offers scents of redcurrant, iron, tobacco and red licorice. Juicy, sappy and youthfully imploded, offering seriously concentrated, slightly medicinal flavors of red fruits, iron and animal fur. Finishes with a firm tannic structure. Very sexy wine but hard to judge today.
