Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2016-2025, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Feb 2012

The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers shows the more focused style of Chambolle, which is not entirely surprising considering the vineyard’s proximity to Morey St. Denis. Bright red fruit, flowers and the essence of crushed rocks are beautifully woven together on the long, energetic finish. This is a beautiful wine from Magnien. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2025. Medium red. Very floral, perfumed aromas and flavors of raspberry, lavender, thyme, mint and citrus zest; this shows the summer garrigue aspect of the vintage in spades. Supple, fine-grained and dry, with lovely energy to the middle palate, even if the wine is less showy today than the Fremieres. The spice, persistent finish is perked up by a limey suggestion.
