The 2017 Chardonnay Charles Ranch is flinty on the nose to begin, taking time to reveal white peach, lemon peel, pie crust and honey. The palate is much more open, offering generous layers of honeyed, spicy fruit. It has an expansive, satiny texture balanced by bright acidity and a long, complex finish. It will continue to gain savory complexity over the next decade.

Some flinty reduction and complex ripe peaches and lemons here with background notes of spice and pastry. The palate has a very focused feel with good concentration of flavor and a smooth, peach and lemon finish. Chalky freshness to close. Drink now.
