Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate, Sep 2025

The 2002 Grenache Cellar Reserve today, in 2025, looks as sensational as it did two years ago when I last saw it. This wine was perhaps or perhaps not built for long term aging, but it is showing great promise and endurance through the years. It is still great and still has time to go. It is robust, rugged, powerful and long, with some complexity that defies the structure.

Quite tannic, considering the age and the variety. Raspberry jam. Medium body, nice softness but the complexity isn’t really developing. (RH)
