The 2013 Chardonnay Cuvée Agustina Richard Dinner Vineyard is dense, powerful, and honeyed. The most overt, viscous wine in the range, the Cuvée Agustina is all about power and phenolic intensity. The 2013 is showing beautifully today.
Honey, almonds, orange peel, chamomile, mint and dried pears are all found in the 2013 Chardonnay Cuvée Agustina Richard Dinner Vineyard. Today, the 2013 is quite a bit more finessed - especially texturally - than the straight Dinner Chardonnay, but there is plenty of raciness and voluptuousness throughout. This is a sexy, highly expressive Chardonnay from Paul Hobbs.
About the producer
Paul Hobbs is one of California wine’s biggest names. Twice named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, he joined Robert Mondavi in 1977, worked at Opus One and Simi before setting up his eponymous winery in 1991.
