The 2014 Grenache is very pretty and expressive today. Dried cherry, sweet tobacco, mint and earthy notes all lift from the glass, with an extra kick of aromatic intensity from the 100% whole clusters. The power of the drought vintage comes through, but there is a good bit of aromatic lift to balance things out.

The 2014 Grenache is a beauty. Aged 14 months in neutral oak, the wine has the classic strawberry and kirsch liqueur nose, with some lavender, pepper, and earthy, loamy soil. Its big, full-bodied, fleshy mouthfeel, with loads of glycerin, is classic Grenache texture, and this is a beauty of purity and depth, The 2014 looks to be the best they’ve made, although the 2015 reviewed a few paragraphs below should turn out to be nearly as fine.

Outpost's 2014 Grenache is wonderfully aromatic, lifted and delicate, with tons of floral and savory notes. Texturally open-knit and inviting, the Grenache hits all the right notes. There is no shortage of varietal character here, although there is plenty of nuance from the 100% whole clusters as well.
