The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Songbook, a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, is another beauty. Dense crème de cassis, licorice, graphite a touch of oak and flowers, is followed by a full-bodied, concentrated wine that’s Margaux-like in its classicism and overall finesse and complexity. This is a beauty that should be drinkable in 2-3 years and last 25 or more.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Songbook is deep, dense and concentrated, with a massive mid-palate and huge intensity. Mocha, raspberry jam, chocolate, new leather and spice notes meld together in a sumptuous, overt Cabernet Sauvignon. This the most opulent, full-throttle wine in the Lede range, but it needs time to settle.
