The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc is more racy and mineral-driven compared to the 2014 and offers gorgeous bright citrus and grapefruit notes in it supple, layered, rounded, yet racy personality. With beautiful concentrate and balance, it's another gem, and certainly one of the best examples of this variety coming out of Napa.

From one of their other estates, high in the Mt. Veeder AVA, where Leslie Rudd has an extensive garden as well as some vineyards (the garden serves the needs of his wonderful restaurant in southern St. Helena, Press), the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from Mt. Veeder (84% Sauvignon Blanc, 8% Sauvignon Gris, 8% Semillon) has wickedly pungent melon, honeysuckle, and exotic fruit notes in the nose, terrific texture, medium body and a long finish. It is best drunk over its first 2-3 years of life.

Rudd's 2015 Sauvignon Blanc Mt. Veeder is fabulous. Rich, deep and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2015 offers notable richness from the low yields of the year to go with the highly expressive varietal notes that abound. Citrus, white flowers, slate and mint flesh out in an effortless, large-scaled impeccable Sauvignon Blanc from Rudd. The 2015 was done in cement and neutral oak, with native yeast fermentation.
