2015 Riesling Ried Kellerberg Smaragd

Lemon, grapefruit, white currant and apple are accented with invigoratingly piquant fruit seed, stinging nettle, crunchy currant seed and incisive white pepper, for a performance that really wakes up the palate. The sense of austerity and severity here is allied to impressive focus, primary juiciness and sheer grip. There is not the textural richness or the low-toned, dark mineral shadings that I usually associate with Kellerberg.
