(15.1% alcohol; clone 33): Bright medium ruby. Aromas of dark fruits, licorice, menthol, crushed rock, spices and molten dark chocolate, with some pungent herb nuances emerging with air. Very ripe and thick but with lovely herbal, peppery lift to its liqueur-like dark fruit and spice flavors. This still-youthful Cabernet conveys lovely inner-mouth energy and its terrific mineral-driven acidity and serious palate-dusting tannins call for time. Finishes with a touch of dryness.

Good medium ruby. Subdued but pure aromas of black fruits, graphite, minerals, licorice and spices. Dense, sweet and youthfully medicinal, with considerable fat to the black fruit and medicinal flavors. Very long and sweetly tannic on the finish, which communicates a medicinal reserve that suggests this will repay several years of cellaring.
Good full ruby. Complex, pure nose offers cassis, minerals, loam and fresh herbs. Large-scaled, plush and rich, with compelling ripeness to the flavors of blackcurrant, minerals and loamy earth. An impressively large-scaled wine that finishes with huge, broad, building tannins and superb persistence.
