Score 85/100 · Drink 2015-2022, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2015

Tasted blind at Fine & Rare Wines' Clos Vougeot tasting, the 2013 Clos Vougeot de Musigni Grand Cru from Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur has a sense of airiness on the nose. It is nicely defined, quite floral with rose petal and iris scents floating from the glass, also a meaty, savory note that suggests a touch of brettanomyces. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red fruit, however, it is dominated by the mocha-like veneer from the oak that renders it anonymous on the finish.
