A fragrant pinot with fresh raspberries, crushed violets, roses and lilacs. Medium body, steely tannins, so much fresh fruit and a savory finish. Drink now.

(made with 20% whole clusters and 20% new French oak) Brilliant red. A suave, expansive bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, exotic spices, succulent herbs and candied flowers, and a smoky mineral nuance adds nervy lift. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering appealingly sweet raspberry, cherry and spicecake flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Delivers solid punch and comes off lithe and pure, culminating in a long, floral- and spice-tinged finish shaped by silky, even tannins.

The deeper ruby-colored 2016 Pinot Noir East Rincon Vineyard is tighter and more focused, with bright acidity and vibrant notes of Bing cherries, violets, sappy herbs, and forest floor. Brought up in 20% new barrels, this medium-bodied effort will be better with 2-3 years of bottle age and should still be drinking beautifully in 2026+.
