25% whole bunches retained in 2009 vintage. 15-20% new oak. Lightish crimson. Delicate red fruit on nose and palate. The sort of subtle and attractive fruit sweetness, without over-sweetness, that it's hard to find outside of Burgundy. Gentle with a long spicy finish. Creamy and just fresh. (JH)

Good dark red. Pungent wild strawberry and red licorice aromas, plus a suggestion of citrus fruit. Juicy, fresh and fruity; firmly built, cool and vibrant. A distinctly light-soil style of wine. Not sophisticated but delivers fresh, direct fruit and excellent cut.

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
