Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2022, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015

Containing just 2% Viognier, the 2012 Hand Picked Shiraz / Viognier has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and is a little rubbery to begin on the nose, giving way to a core of black and red cherry notes over hints of tar, violets and black earth. Medium to full-bodied, it is fresh and finely crafted on the palate with soft tannins in the background of the earth-laced cherry fruit flavors, finishing with good length.
