Score 87/100 · Drink 2006, Robert Parker, Apr 1999

One of the best run properties in St.-Emilion, La Fleur de Jaugue has produced a very fine 1996. The wine is deep ruby-colored, with plenty of sweet cherry and plum-like fruit intermixed with dried herbs, smoke, and a touch of earth and new oak. Fleshy, with excellent texture, and ripe fruit, it is a tasty St.-Emilion to enjoy over the next 5-6 years.
