2004 Bonesetter Shiraz

The 2004 Shiraz “Bonesetter” comes from a 35-year-old parcel and was aged for two years in French oak. Saturated purple in color, it is more tightly wound and structured than the “regular” bottling. It offers intense aromas and flavors of violets, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur, excellent balance, and a 60-second, pure finish. Give it 6-8 years in the cellar and drink it through 2024. The owner/winemaker of The Willows Vineyard is Peter Scholz whose grandfather began planting the vineyard in 1936 with subsequent expansions in the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘90s.
