Tasting notes
Score 90/100 · Drink 2012-2018, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2012

The 2011 Riesling ‘D’ offers enticing notes of lime cordial, pink grapefruit and honeysuckle with nuances of mandarin peel and musk. Light bodied, refreshingly dry and nicely balance, it provides plenty of zesty fruit on the palate and a long finish. Drink this one now to 2018+. Owned by winemakers Anna and Jason Flowerday, Te Whare Ra (TWR) is a small vineyard / winery located in the Marlborough sub-region of Renwick. The 11 hectare vineyard is planted to 7 different varieties and was first established in 1979. The vineyard is managed with a combination of organic and biodynamic practices and both winery and vineyard are both fully certified organic with BioGro NZ. The Chardonnay and Riesling “D” (dry) are particularly exciting, though the Pinot Noir has a lot of character and potential too. Imported by Kirkcrest Imports (CA) and available exclusively through K&L Wines, CA
