Another stunning effort from winemaker Paul Lato, the 2014 Pinot Noir John Sebastiano Vineyard (raised in 60% new oak) offers another level of purity and focus over the straight Sta. Rita Hills release. Chambolle-Musigny like with its elegant, ultra-pure and nuanced bouquet of framboise, flowers and spice, this beauty has no hard edges, perfect balance and a seamless, silky texture that keeps you coming back to the glass. It’s beautiful already, yet should keep for 7-8 years, possibly longer.

The 2014 Pinot Noir John Sebastiano Vineyard is a deep, bold wine. Depth give the 2014 much of its virile, reticent personality, yet there is plenty of the nuance that makes this site so special. Blueberry, lavender, spice and licorice are some of the many notes that shape the super-expressive finish.
