More chocolate, forest floor, earth, and gravelly minerality emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Franc 29 Estate. It reminds me a of great Saint-Emilion with it's dark, chocolately fruit and building sense of minerality. Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, give bottles 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 10-15.

In the 2017 Cabernet Franc Vineyard 29, varietal notes are amped up. Sweet tobacco, cedar, tobacco, mocha, spice and incense are really popping. Lush, rich and inviting, the 2017 has all the richness readers expect from these wines, along with impeccable balance. The 2017 needs time to be at its best, but it is gorgeous, even in the early going.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Franc 29 Estate is scented of baked red and black cherries, stewed plums and dried herbs with pencil lead and tilled soil. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, chewy, muscular and a little attenuated in middle with a chewy finish.
