Medium red. Pure, expressive aromas of plum, redcurrant, smoke and minerals. Sweet, ripe and youthful, with subtle fruit-driven flavors of cherry, raspberry, leather, smoke and earth. This boasts lovely fruit intensity and nicely displays the long ripening period in 2004, which Meo noted was 104 to 106 days, compared to 88 in the freakishly hot summer of 2003.

Good medium red. Hints of very ripe fruits, chocolate, caramel and sweet oak, along with a peppery element. Sweet and creamy on the front half, then a bit less obviously ripe on the back. But the tannins are easier than those of the Chaumes.
