The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 North Coast Syrah has a nose of blackberries, cherries and mulberries with pepper and dried herbs notions plus a hint of anise. Medium to full-bodied, earthy and peppery with plenty of fruit and a chewy frame, it has a refreshing lift to the finish.

Bedrock's 2016 Syrah North Coast is soft, fruity and delicious, with attractive floral overtones and a good bit of nuance. In so many vintages, the North Coast Syrah punches above its weight. The 2016 doesn't quite do that, but it offers a good bit of nuance and personality. Vineyard sites are Hudson, Weill, Gibson Ranch and Shake Ridge. The 40% whole clusters add considerable aromatic nuance.
