Bought by Pete de Bolla for the cellar of King's College, Cambridge for about £32 a bottle. Floral, edgy, mealy notes on the complex nose. This bottle seemed quite mature already! (JR)

The 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is quite giving this year, bursting with expressive aromas of pear, pastry cream, green apple, fresh peach and wheat toast. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with an easygoing, open-knit profile that makes it quite an accessible, precocious rendition of this site.
Very sunny spot. Particularly calcareous with white soils and vines 45 and 20 years old. Can suffer in hot, dry summers such as 2015. Longer élevage give wines more tension and minerality. On lees in barrel in very cold cellar. Tank sample. Gentle creamy nose. smells elegant but then there is great richness in the mouth. That creamy polish, round yet precise, tight pure citrus. Power here and lots of mealy spice on the finish. Incredible persistence and depth of fruit without being hugely fruity. Fills the mouth in the middle. So persistent and defined. (JH)
