(14.2% alcohol): Saturated deep ruby. Liqueur-like aromas of kirsch and cassis. Plush and sweet, showing a port-like ripeness but also good framing acidity to the very primary, somewhat unrefined dark fruit flavors. The finish features big, slightly rough tannins. This infant needs time but will it open and gain in complexity and drinkability or will it simply endure?

The 2004 is fruity, soft, monolithic, has a beautiful texture and chewiness although not much complexity to it. I certainly enjoyed it, but I would opt for drinking it over the next decade. This source for Cabernet Sauvignon was made famous by well-known wine consultant and winemaker David Ramey when he was sourcing fruit from this site.
