Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Jun 2016

Possessing an almost Château Lafleur-like raspberry, strawberry, floral and graphite bouquet, the 2013 Champoux Vineyard is medium to full-bodied, juicy, lively and polished, with an already approachable, endearing personality. Nevertheless, it has building mid-palate depth, lively acidity and enough ripe tannin to keep it drinking nicely for another 15 years.

Bright ruby-red. Sexy aromas of dark berries, ripe strawberry, coriander and mocha. Plush, silky and complex on the palate, offering alluring flavors of red berries, plum, cherry, earth and sexy oak spices. Finishes very long and smooth, with lush, broad tannins. Impeccably balanced from the start, this wine will give great early pleasures.
