Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jul 2006

(13.3% alcohol, from a crop level of just 22 hectoliters per hectare) Pure, clean aromas of citrus peel, minerals and mint. Tightly wound and intensely flavored, with steely lemon and powdered stone flavors displaying an uncompromising dryness and given shape by bright, firm acidity. Manages to be both tactile and bony, with the dryness and structure of the wine currently accentuating its alcohol. Very backward grand cru, in need of five or six years of bottle aging.
