Score 96/100 · Drink 2023-2033, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2021

The 2018 Pinot Noir Dierke is bright and finely sculpted. Small red berry fruit, crushed rocks, blood orange, mint, pine and rosewater give this sinewy, focused Pinot tons of character. The Dierke is one of the more aromatic, transparent wines in this range. Today, the Dierke is quite reticent, but it should start to blossom beautifully with a bit of time in bottle.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Dierke is a seriously gorgeous wine. Ample and dramatic in scale, the 2018 packs a serious punch while retaining a striking sense of translucence. Raspberry, blood orange, mint and exotic spice notes all come alive in the glass. I hope I can convey just how captivating the 2018 is. In a word: sublime.
