Score 92/100 · Drink 2006-2016, Pierre Rovani, Dec 2002

Camarda's top wine, named Sorella in honor of his deceased sister, is typically one of the finest offerings out of Washington state. The expansive 2000 Sorella is medium to dark ruby-colored, and reveals blackberry and spice aromas. Fresh, concentrated and deep, it coats the taster's mouth with blackberries, cherries, and currants. This firm, tight offering will undoubtedly require 3-4 years of cellaring before blossoming. Projected maturity: 2006-2016. Tel. (206) 463-3290

(a blend of 70% cabernet sauvignon, 15% merlot, 12% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot) Bright, deep ruby. Reticent but pure aromas of red and black fruits, spices and whiskey. Dense but vibrant and nicely delineated; sweet, lush, broad and deep. This has lovely texture and sweetness. Finishes with noble, dusty tannins that reach the front teeth.
