Score 96/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

The 2021 Chardonnay It's All Good Oliver's Vineyard comes from 32-year-old vines in Edna Valley, which will be torn out and replanted soon—2022 will be the last version from these vines. The wine underwent full malolactic conversion and was matured for 16 months in 50% new French oak. It's open and inviting, with gregarious aromas of ripe peach and baked apples, honey, roasted almonds, crème brûlée and wafts of matchstick. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive with concentrated, spicy flavors and honeyed undertones. Its power and density are foiled by mouthwatering acidity, and it has a very long, layered finish. Reminiscent of Meursault, it's approachable straight from the bottle but will mature gracefully over the next 10-15 years. Just 93 cases were made.
