The 2021 Pinot Noir Akiko's Cuvée has detailed aromas of blueberries, blackberries, damp earth and rooibos tea leaves. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated and spicy. It’s structured by youthfully chalky tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, fragrant finish.

A barrel selection from the Yu-Ki Estate wine. Heady, luscious nose and palate entry. Very flattering and rather gorgeous. Lovely texture and a certain delicacy. Much less obviously sweet than the Yu-Ki Estate. Long. (JR)
The 2021 Pinot Noir Akiko's Cuvée is a blend of Yu-ki, with smaller pieces from Gloria and Pratt—a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. The aromatics are especially popping today. Sweet rose petal, lavender, red cherry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange are all beautifully lifted. This is another terrific wine from Akiko and Ken Freeman.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Akiko's Cuvee is deep ruby, with spiced pine, nutmeg, and black cherry aromas. Full-bodied, it has ripe tannins and well-balanced, more harmonious notes of orange rind, cedar, and forest herbs. Long on the palate, with hints of incense and turned soil, it will need some time in the cellar, then drink it over the following 6-8 years.
