Score 98/100 · Drink 2032-2051, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2025

Quite possibly the finest wine I've tasted from the Bure Family, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate will most likely merit a perfect rating in 7-8 years. Gorgeous black fruits, darker chocolate, crushed stone, and a Pauillac-like graphite character all emerge from this sensationally concentrated, full-bodied, power-packed beauty. Coming from a tiny hillside parcel just north of St. Helena and all Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a dense, layered mid-palate, ripe yet building tannins, and an incredible finish. It needs to be hidden in the back of the cellar for at least 5-7 years, and I'd be shocked if it wasn't still drinking brilliantly at age 30. Hats off to Valeri Bure and winemaker Benoit Touquette.
