Bright medium ruby. Medicinal black cherry, crushed blueberry, cocoa powder and violet on the nose, along with a faint cabernet franc-like weediness. Then youthful and primary, with sweet black fruit, violet and bitter chocolate flavors complicated by good herbal cut. A firm-edged, persistent wine that shows lively acids on the finish.
