Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jun 2013

Freeman's 2010 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a blend of fruit from seven vineyards, all coastal sites. Crushed flowers, autumn leaves, herbs and dried cherries waft from the glass in a delicate, intensely scented Pinot that impresses for its overall balance and harmony. Although made entirely from de-stemmed fruit the high-toned, fleeting aromatics recall whole clusters. This is another pretty, sensual wine from Freeman.

Vivid red. Pungent, highly aromatic bouquet of red berries, candied cherry, Asian spices and fresh rose. Round and supple but energetic, with lively raspberry, cherry, floral pastille and cinnamon flavors. Gains depth on the suave, intensely floral finish while maintaining excellent vivacity.
