2006 Miner Family La Diligence Syrah Stagecoach Vineyard

Far more interesting is the 2006 Syrah La Diligence, a joint project of the Miner Family Winery and the well-known Cote Rotie winemaker, Francois Villard. From the Stagecoach Vineyard, it is a well-made, attractive, dark ruby-hued Syrah exhibiting notes of licorice, road tar, black cherries, and black currants. With medium body, rugged tannins, a meaty richness in the mouth, and a spicy, slightly tannic finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years. Tel. and Fax (707) 254-9727
