The 2019 Pinot Noir Two Birds Estate is a beautiful wine with so much personality! Its aromatic layers unfurl as it airs in the glass: matchstick gives way to wild berries, violet, mushroom and mint. The medium-bodied palate is silky, with crescendos of refreshing acidity to balance its concentrated, earthy fruit, and it has a very long finish with notable flavor and nuance.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Two Birds Estate Vineyard is brooding with forest floor and wooded spice as well as dark fruit of black raspberry and sassafras. It reveals fleshy richness, and a note of mineral earth of fresh turned soil, and a hint of cinnamon. The structure is more substantial, with spiced tannins that emerge on the finish. Drink 2024-2036.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Two Birds is a powerful, brooding wine. Dark red fruit, spice, leather and tobacco are all amped up. I find the pushed style a bit too much, although I am sure some will enjoy it. The ultra heavy bottle is irresponsibly heavy and out of touch with the times.
