2012 Domaine Frédéric Magnien Echézeaux Grand Cru

The 2012 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a fragrant and well-defined bouquet with plush raspberry and wild strawberry fruit interlaced with minerals. The palate is energetic and vibrant with crisp acidity, the 50% new oak present toward the weighty finish, but there is sufficient fruit to absorb that with time. Cellar this for three or four years and allow it to coalesce, as this fine Echezeaux may warrant a higher score down the line.
