Part fermented in cask and part fermented in tank. Deep crimson. Rich ripe fruit. Still with some firm tannins but with the fruit to carry them. Pretty majestic and long and powerful. Fresh, rich and dense. (JR)

Mid to dark crimson but no hint of blue. Firm and rich and dense. But actually a top layer of fragility that adds interest. Very rich and sweet. Tense and nervous. Lots of autumnal undergrowth. Reverberant. Slightly bitter finish in a good way. Not that intense but very satisfying. (JR)
