Complex nose combines white peach, flowers, minerals, earth and a whiff of white truffle. Sweet, broad, silky and voluminous, yet at the same time elegant and fine. Nicely high-pitched wine with a light touch. The subtle, spreading finish offers very good lift. Less showy than the Champs-Canet but impressive. Drink now or hold it for five years. This would be great with turbot.

Sexy aromas of stone fruits, nutmeg and spicy, smoky oak. Rich and ripe, with good stuffing and structure. Not as sweet as the preceding samples owing to its mineral firmness and juicy, ripe acidity. A tad hard on the back end. From another barrel: Tighter and more backward, but with lovely definition. Tactile, chewy and dry in a positive way. Not at all bitter on the back.
