Bright ruby. Meatier and more serious than the 2011 version, offering deeper cherry, blackberry and licorice aromas and flavors. Chewy and nicely concentrated, finishing with strong grip and clinging persistence. I'd drink this one after I'd polished off all of my '11s.

The 2010 Charles Thomas Côtes du Rhône is a quality, elegantly styled Côtes du Rhône that shows plenty of kirsch, black cherry, ground pepper, and dried garrigue characteristics to go with a medium-bodied, balanced, easy drinking profile. Comprised of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, and 10% Mourvèdre, this excellent red improves with air, and should drink nicely for 3-5 years.
