Another gem of a wine from this estate, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District is concentrated and full-bodied, with lots of ripe dark mulberry and cherry fruits, notes of iron, dried violets, and loamy earth, tons of minerality, building tannins, and a great finish. It needs to be hidden in the back of the cellar for 4-6 years but will have 20-25 years of overall longevity.

Sourced mainly from the Rainin Vineyard, with small parcels from Constant and Klopka, the 100% varietal 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain was partially fermented in concrete, which serves to lengthen the ferment. It offers lovely purity of cassis up front, then adds dark chocolate, mocha and hints of sage. It's full-bodied, rich and velvety, with a dark-chocolate finish that somehow retains ample freshness.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District is redolent of dried herbs, tobacco, black cherry, spice and licorice. Deep and layered, the 2019 has quite a bit to offer. The tannins are incisive, but also nicely integrated into the wine's fabric.
