The 2021 Pinot Noir Yu-ki Estate has slowly unfurling aromas of wild berries, rosewater, nori and botanicals. The light-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with delicate, graphite-driven fruit and a youthfully coiled finish. It will benefit from 2-3+ years in the cellar.

A blend of their own and bought-in fruit. Nose suggests something quite compost-like. Then decidedly sweet on palate entry – a tad more Russian River flavours than some other West Sonoma Coast Pinots. Quite a bit of tannin on the end. (JR)

The 2021 Pinot Noir Yu-ki Estate is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from Akiko and Ken Freeman. Soaring aromatics, pliant fruit and a long, beautifully sustained finish are some of the signatures. The 2021 embodies all the hallmarks that make these wines so compelling.

Meaning "giant tree," the 2021 Pinot Noir Yu-Ki Estate pours a rich ruby hue and has ripe, pure aromas of violets, black raspberry, and pine sap. Full-bodied, with the umami richness of mushroom-covered earth and tea leaf, it has balanced structure, with angular tannins that come together very nicely. Drink 2024-2032.
