Upfront and perfumed, with gorgeous garrigue, lavender, meat, and plum sauce aromatics, the 2007 Domaine Tempier Bandol Cuvée Spéciale La Migoua (this cuvee has the lowest Mourvèdre content with the wine being a blend of 50-65% Mourvèdre and the reset Grenache and Cinsault) is built for the long haul, showing medium to full body, superb balance, solid concentration, and a very long finish. I followed this bottle for four days and it never failed to impress. Much more wild, perfumed, and complex at the moment than the La Tourtine, this is certainly delicious now, but should hit a sweet spot at age 10-12, and drink well for a decade or more after that.
