Including 2% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, the 250-case 2018 Cabernet Franc sports a deep purple hue to go with a gorgeous perfume of red, black, and blue fruits interwoven with complex dark chocolate, sandalwood, spring flowers, and forest floor-like nuances. With a Cheval Blanc-like elegance, medium to full-bodied richness, and beautiful tannins, this rock star of a wine has the more tight, inward style of the vintage and is going to benefit from bottle age, but, wow, it's a gorgeous Cabernet Franc that will impress for two decades.

Sinegal's 2018 Cabernet Franc Old Vine dazzles from start to finish. The aromatics alone are compelling. Dark cherry, espresso, mocha, licorice, cloves and new leather infuse the 2018 with striking depth and intensity. The balance of rich Napa Valley fruit and the acidity of Franc is simply compelling. The 2018 spent 23 months in barrel.
Sinegal's 2018 Cabernet Franc Old Vine is once again incredibly expressive. It shows all of the power that comes so natural here, with an extra kick of savoriness and mineral-drenched, explosive energy. Rose petal, mint, crushed rocks, white pepper, licorice and spice notes add lift to a powerful wine that melds together richness and vibrancy. I can hardly wait to taste it from bottle.
