The 2020 Corton Grèves Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) wafts from the glass with scents of smoky plums, petals, dark chocolate and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, deep and muscular, it's rich and concentrated, with lively acids and powdery tannins.

The 2020 Corton-Grèves Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet with smoky red berry fruit, just a light hickory note here (possibly emanating from the barrel.) The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine grip, nicely balanced with a fresh, slightly citric finish that lends tension and elegance. Give this 4-6 years in bottle for the aromatics to cohere and this should evolve into a fine Corton-Grèves.
