The 2012 Zinfandel Lolita Ranch (15.9% alcohol) reveals gorgeous notes of cured meats, licorice, roasted herbs, blackcurrants and black cherries. Supple and full-bodied with a medium ruby color, it is ideal for drinking over the next 4-5 years.

Inky ruby. Blueberry, cherry, licorice and fresh flowers on the perfumed nose. Sweet dark berry flavors show very good energy thanks to bright, tangy acidity and a hint of white pepper. Supple tannins shape the finish, which clings with excellent tenacity and echoing florality. This is the lowest-octane zin in this year's set of releases, checking in at "only" 15.9% alcohol.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
