Score 88/100 · Drink 2013-2021, Robert Parker, Jun 2013

The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Oroppas is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (84%) blended with 12% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc (3,000 cases produced). It exhibits rich, sweet notes of coffee beans, white chocolate, black and red currants and a dusty earthiness in a medium-bodied, attractive, fully mature style. It should drink well for another 7-8 years. Tel. (866) 877-5939

Deep ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, licorice, minerals and nutty oak.Chewy, serious and built to age, with somewhat medicinal, claret-like flavors of black cherry, bitter chocolate and menthol.Dense and rich, even a bit youthfully syrupy, but has plenty of life and verve. Tannins are firm but ripe. I'd give this one six or seven years in the cellar.
