The 2019 Pinot Noir Frei Road Vineyard has pure, intense aromas of cranberry, bergamot, licorice, mushrooms and pipe tobacco, offering up something new with each return to the glass. The medium-bodied palate is most impressive for its flavor-to-weight ratio, and it explodes with perfumed flavors. It has a luxuriously silky texture, fireworks of fresh acidity and a tremendously long finish streaked with nuances of earth and spice.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Frei Road Vineyard is woodsy and dark-fruited, with more reserved aromas and baking spice. The palate opens more freely and with more depth, offering juicy sweet cherry fruit, dark mineral earth, and cinnamon spice. Drink it over the next 8 years.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Frei Road is the most complete of the Ferren Pinots, as it marries energy with richness so well. Bright floral and spice accents lift a core of red/purplish berry fruit. The Frei Road is not as overt as the two other Pinots, but it has plenty of depth and intensity to spare. Bright saline underpinnings suggest it will offer a number of years of very fine drinking.
