Score 97/100 · Drink 2024-2044, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2024

A jeweled red color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Edition Limitee is another beautifully floral wine, with notes of violets, sweet soils, sweet forest herbs, and black cherries. It’s medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and even acidity, although it’s well in the fabric of the wine. It has a little more of that fantastic savory side to the wine, with a great note of tea leaf on the finish. Drink over the following 20 years.

Darkly floral, the 2022 Pinot Noir Edition Limitée smolders up with an array of grilled herbs, cedary spices and dried black cherries. This seduces with its silky textures and vibrant acidity, displaying notes of wild blueberry complemented by hints of cola and sour citrus. A web of fine-grained tannins wraps the palate in youthful poise as the 2022 finishes staining, long, structured and beautifully balanced. There's an underlying power here that promises many years of positive evolution. The Edition Limitée comes from a block of vines planted in 1996 and underwent fermentation with 15% whole-cluster fruit.
