2009 Relic Pinot Noir Avion

Bright, dark red. Aroma of blackberry liqueur shows the crushed fruit character of a warm site. Dense and rather powerful pinot, with black fruit and bitter chocolate flavors framed by brisk acidity. For all its ripeness, this also hints at a slight greenness. Finishes with slightly drying tannins. Can't match the Kachaya bottling for lift.
