(100% cabernet sauvignon) Vivid ruby-red. Deep cherry, plum and dark chocolate aromas convey ripeness and power. Broad, chewy dark fruit flavors coat the palate and are firmed by dusty tannins. Finishes on a distinctly ripe note, with very good thrust and smoky persistence. This needs rich food.

One of the finest 2006s is the 2006 Cameron Proprietary Red. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals silky tannins as well as plush red and black currant fruit interwoven with dusty, loamy soil, spice box, and a hint of tobacco leaf. This soft, stylish, St.-Emilion-like offering should drink nicely for a decade. As it does elsewhere in northern California, 2007 appears to be a much stronger vintage for Bordeaux varietals at Fisher. Tel. (707) 539-7511; Fax (707) 539-3601
